Laurent Blanc has become the new head coach of Paris St.Germain club, signing a two-year contract.

He will replace Carlo Ancelotti at the helm of the French champions, who accepted an offer from Real Madrid.

"PSG offers a great opportunity, as it is a very strong club. It will be interesting, but most importantly, I will do what I love the most - work as a coach," Blanc, 47, told journalists a few days ago.

In 2009, the coach won the national championship with Bordeaux. Later, he took over the French national team, but stepped down from his duties after losing in the quarter-finals of the European Championship last year."
