On Tuesday evening, Liverpool officially completed a deal with Sunderland for the acquisition of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
The Belgian became Brendan Rodgers' fourth signing this summer. Before him, Liverpool added defender Kolo Toure, forward Iago Aspas, and full-back Luis Alberto.
The official transfer fee was not disclosed, however, media reports suggest that the goalkeeper joined the "Reds" for 9 million pounds.
Wearing Sunderland's jersey, the Belgian played 100 matches. Before that, S. Mignolet played for the VV St. Truiden team in his homeland.
The footballer moved to England in 2010 for 2.5 million euros. Now he is considered one of the most promising goalkeepers in the country.
