Spanish national team striker Fernando Torres warned his teammates not to relax before the Confederations Cup semi-final match against the Italians.
According to the most productive player of the tournament, Cesare Prandelli's pupils have not forgotten the painful defeat in the European Championship final and are eager for revenge.
"In Spain, there is no need to explain what these encounters between the two national teams mean. Italians have eliminated us from both world championships and European championships.
We defeated them in 2008 and last year, we know how to play against them, but there are a lot of excellent footballers in the "Azzurri" team and they can be very dangerous," Torres insisted.
"Everyone wants to see Spain and Brazil in the final, but these teams must respect the Italians and Uruguayans, who have been world champions in the past," he added.
