The "Atletico" club in Madrid has started negotiations for the acquisition of "Roma" team's forward Pablo Osvaldo.
Having demonstrated excellent form last season, the forward Radamel Falcao left the Spanish capital club and moved to "Monaco", so "Los Rojiblancos" are looking for someone who could replace the Colombian.
According to the player's agent, Diego Simeone's team would have to pay around 18 million euros for the footballer.
"Negotiations have started, and the transfer fee should amount to 18 million euros. This player is loved in Spain, but he needs to sort things out psychologically, as he has great qualities as a footballer," the agent said.
The coach of the Italian national team left P.Osvaldo out of the national team squad when he insulted a member of the coaching staff, Aurelio Andreazzoli, on the social media platform "Twitter."
During the last season in "Seria A," the forward played 29 games and scored 16 goals.
