The new "Manchester United" club strategist David Moyes has appointed team veteran Ryan Giggs as a player-coach.
Next season will be the 24th for the Welshman in the ranks of the "Red Devils," and this November he will turn 40, so the club legend has begun preparing for a coaching career.
Next summer, the 13-time English champion should receive a "UEFA Pro" coaching license.
"It is an honor for me to be a player-coach. I hope that my experience will be useful, as I have been a player and a part of Manchester United for such a long time.
"It is no secret that I have been seeking to obtain coaching qualifications, so being a player-coach is the first step in my further career. It will be a great experience to work alongside David Moyes," Giggs said.
As a footballer in the ranks of Manchester United, Giggs has played 849 matches.
