Jakub Wilkas, who successfully represented the Vilnius City Football Association "Žalgiris" team in the first half of the season, will continue his career at the "Vaslui" club.
The goalkeeper, who left for Romania a week ago after long negotiations, reached an agreement on the terms and conditions of the contract and officially became a member of the new team.
"It's sad to leave the city and the team to which I gave my all. I met many wonderful people here, had the opportunity to play alongside great guys. But I must also think about my career, my family. In Romania, I will be able to play at a higher level, the club offered very good conditions," said the player who will soon celebrate his 28th birthday, to zalgiris-vilnius.lt.
The footballer, who spent less than half a year in Lithuania, managed to play 20 matches, scoring 7 goals and making 13 assists.
The Polish player, who started his career as a foreign legionnaire at "Žalgiris," previously wore the jerseys of Poznan's "Lech" and Gdansk's "Lechia" clubs in his homeland.
