The new acquisition of Borussia Dortmund team from Gabon Pierre Emerick Aubameyang astonished his new employers with an impressive sprint.

The 24-year-old striker covered a distance of 30 meters in 3.7 seconds during a training camp - almost a whole second faster than the sprint star Usain Bolt's record-breaking run in Berlin in 2009.

The Jamaican athlete set an unbeaten world record in the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin when he covered a distance of 100 meters in 9.58 seconds.

Nevertheless, the new Borussia team forward's initial speed was almost a second better.

"Pierre is definitely the fastest football player ever to play in our club," surprised stated Borussia's sports director Michael Zorc.

Legendary coach Otto Pfister, who has followed the Gabonese's career from the beginning, warned all German Bundesliga clubs that they will have to watch out for P.E.Aubameyang next season: "I have never seen a player with such explosive power."

The Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League runners-up Borussia recently paid €13 million for the striker from the French team Saint-Etienne.
