The new "Manchester United" coach David Moyes is not overly worried about the possible departure of Wayne Rooney, as the striker is not more important than the club.
W. Rooney's future in the "Red Devils" team has been unclear for some time, but the former Everton manager insists that the striker should stay in Manchester, despite interest from other teams.
"Wayne is in my plans and he could play an important role in the team next season. He is versatile, but I want to see more goals from him," said D. Moyes.
"I haven't spoken to him about extending his contract, as I haven't done with other players on the team. I think it's not important at all.
"At the moment, I can't focus solely on him. "Manchester United" is not dependent on Rooney, so I won't let him become more important than the club," the new coach insisted.
