The PSV club of Eindhoven officially announced that they are parting ways with midfielder Kevin Strootman, who will now wear the jersey of the "Roma" team.
The future of the 23-year-old footballer in the Netherlands has been unclear for some time. However, Strootman was close to reaching an agreement with "Man Utd", but his future shifted towards Italy.
"It was inevitable negotiations. We couldn't stop them," said the club's technical director Marcel Brands on the official website.
The transfer fee is not disclosed, but according to M. Brands, it is one of the highest in the club's history.
The Dutch national team member played for PSV for two seasons. During this time, K. Strootman played 88 matches and scored 13 goals.
