In 2022, Qatar will host the strongest football teams in the world. However, it is realistic that not in the summer, as usual, but in winter.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter will ask the board to consider moving the World Cup to the cold season. They say that it would not be possible to play matches in Qatar in the summer because the temperature would reach around 40-50 degrees.
"If we want this championship to become a celebration for the fans, it cannot be held in the summer. Yes, you can cool down the stadiums, but you cannot cool down the whole country," said S. Blatter.
If the championship were to take place in winter, it would greatly disrupt the European football schedule.
Qatari representatives are more inclined to hold the World Cup in the summer, but do not rule out the possibility of moving the schedule to winter.
