Today, the newly crowned champions of Spain officially confirmed what the Spanish media announced a few days ago: the star Santiago Ezquerro has signed a three-year contract with the Catalan superclub.
"I decided to accept Barcelona's offer," S. Ezquerro said at a press conference on Thursday.
This season, the left winger, who has scored 12 goals for Athletic, capable of playing as a withdrawn striker, will officially become a Barcelona player at the end of June when his current contract with the Bilbao club expires.
The 28-year-old S. Ezquerro signed a three-year contract with Barcelona, with the possibility of extending it for another season.
S. Ezquerro became the second player this summer to join Barcelona under the Bosman rule. Earlier, the Eindhoven PSV winger Mark van Bommel also signed a three-year contract with the Catalan superclub.
