On Friday, the draws for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League were made.
It was revealed who the Lithuanian clubs would have to face if they managed to pass the barrier of the second round.
In the UEFA Champions League, if Panevezys' "Ekranas" managed to beat the "Hafnarfjördur" team in Iceland, they would have to face the Vienna "Austria" club.
The first match for the "Ekranas" team ended in a 0 - 1 loss, so the Panevezys team will have a tough task away where they will need to score at least two goals to the opponent's net to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Meanwhile, if Vilnius' "Žalgiris" club is successful in Armenia, they will face the winner of the "Honka Espoo" and "Lech Poznan" pairing.
On Thursday evening, Vilnius almost completely defeated their opponents the Yerevan "Pyunik" team at the LFF stadium, so they have excellent chances to reach the third qualifying round.
Most likely, "Žalgiris" will face the "Lech" team from Poznan, which won the first match against the Finns away with a score of 3 - 1. This Polish club is known for their aggressive fans.
