"Liverpool" club strategist Brendan Rodgers is still convinced that he can keep striker Luis Suarez in the team, and those who want to buy him will have to shake their wallet considerably.
The team's coach believes that the "Reds" forward is worth as much as his Uruguayan national team partner Edinson Cavani, who this week moved to play in the French capital for 55 million pounds (about 64 million euros).
"When you consider that Cavani cost 55 million, you understand that Suarez is also worth that much," the strategist pondered.
"London's "Arsenal" came to us with a significantly smaller sum, and even if they came back with 55 million, there's no guarantee that we would give Suarez to them."
"We completely control the situation. We don't have to sell anything. There are still three years left until the end of Suarez's contract," Rodgers commented on the situation.
Luis Suarez, who moved from "Ajax" to "Anfield" for about 23 million pounds, has joined Liverpool.
