On Saturday evening, the German Supercup match was played between the teams of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
It was the first official match of the new Bayern coach Pep Guardiola at the helm of the Bavarian team.
The match started at a high pace, and both teams demonstrated attractive and high-level football.
The yellow-painted stands at the Signal Iduna Park stadium triumphed already in the 6th minute. Marco Reus scored a header goal after a mistake by Bayern goalkeeper Tom Starke.
After the goal, as expected, Pep Guardiola's proteges took more control of the ball and positional attacks.
No more goals were scored in the first half, and during the break, a victorious atmosphere prevailed in the yellow stands.
In the second half, the course of the match briefly turned in a different direction - in the 54th minute, Arjen Robben scored a header goal.
However, the spectators did not mourn for long, as just two minutes later, Daniel Van Buyten sent the ball into his own net.
Shortly afterwards, Jurgen Klopp's players further delighted the fans. Ilkay Gündogan outsmarted several opponents' defenders with a beautiful shot that beat T. Starke.
In the 64th minute, Dutchman A. Robben revived Bayern's hopes of fighting for the Supercup trophy by scoring his second goal in the match.
Marco Reus added a point in the 86th minute of the match after receiving the ball from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during a fast counterattack and directing it into the empty net.
