One of the leaders of the Bayern Munich team, Bastian Schweinsteiger, has been named Germany's Bundesliga Footballer of the Year.
"This title is not just for myself, but for the team as well. The award surprised me, as I have received a lot of criticism," shared S. Schweinsteiger.
The other two representatives of Bayern left behind for their 28-year-old defender are Franck Ribery and Thomas Muller.
The Bundesliga Coach of the Year was former Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes.
The awards were given by German football analysts.
