"ABC" News reports that Madrid's "Real" star Cristiano Ronaldo rejected three lucrative offers from other clubs and is set to extend his contract with the capital's team in the near future.

According to reports, the captain of the Portuguese national team received offers from "Monaco" (18 million euros per season), Paris Saint-Germain (22 million euros), and Manchester City (18 million euros).

All mentioned clubs would have also signed a five-year contract with the Portuguese, but it seems that Ronaldo has decided to continue his career in Madrid.

The 28-year-old footballer has reached a verbal agreement with the "Real" club and will sign a new contract until 2018. The forward is set to earn a record amount of 13 million euros per season.

Earlier, it was rumored that C. Ronaldo wants to return to Manchester United, and the player himself spoke vaguely about his future at the royal club.
