Former coach of Madrid's "Real" and current coach of London's "Chelsea" Jose Mourinho claimed that last season he asked the management to buy Gareth Bale, for whom now they intend to pay a record amount.
After leaving the royal club strategist position this season, J. Mourinho admits that the Welshman is valued a bit too much.
"Last season I talked with the management about Bale, but they said it was impossible to buy him at that time," the Portuguese said.
"As I see it, this summer it is allowed to buy him. He is a fantastic player - they are rare, but of course the sum is very large, so one should carefully consider before making the final decision.
"I don't know what Carlo Ancelotti thinks. "Real" has added a few new players, but he is a smart coach, so he knows what he is doing," Mourinho concluded.
It is reported in the press that the Madrid team is ready to pay 120 million euros to "Tottenham" for G. Bale.
