The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reports that Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo will soon put his signature on a new contract, under which the Portuguese would earn 17 million per year and stay at the royal club at least until 2018. However, the footballer himself claims that negotiations for the extension of the contract have not progressed.
Manchester United players are upset and dissatisfied with striker Wayne Rooney's repeated attempts to leave the club this summer.
The Turkish club Besiktas will try to attract Tottenham forward Jermain Defoe to their ranks, not Emmanuel Adebayor, as negotiations for the latter's transfer are at a standstill.
