"Barcelona" has been interested in the services of "Liverpool" defender Daniel Agger for some time now, and according to the player's agent, the Spanish champions have already made an offer, but it was rejected by the "Reds".

The new "Barca" coach Gerardo Martino continues the search for a center-back. David Luiz was also linked with the Catalan team.

According to the latest reports, Sandro Rosell was willing to pay around 25 million euros for the "Chelsea" defender, but Jose Mourinho is not willing to sell the Brazilian for that amount, so Agger remained the most likely contender.

"We know that "Barcelona" made an offer for Agger, but "Liverpool" rejected the possibility of selling the player," the agent told journalists.

Brendan Rodgers' team recently appointed D. Agger as the club's vice-captain."
