D.Alves about Neymar: It's better to work a lot and talk less © EuroFootball.com

On the eve of the friendly match between Brazil and Switzerland, Neymar did not appear at the press conference, allegedly not wanting to communicate with the gathered journalists.

Instead of the forward, defender Dani Alves from "Selecao" and Barcelona had to speak to the media, standing up for the rising football star.

"I think journalists should be more understanding. Neymar is still very young, and now there is a huge buzz around him because of anemia. Those talks constantly bother him and, in my opinion, hinder his concentration. We need to understand the boy. He is stubbornly pursuing his goal," - pondered the defender.

In the summer, Barcelona officially confirmed that Neymar has been diagnosed with a mild form of anemia. The footballer has too few red blood cells in his blood, which means there is not enough iron in the player's body.

The club's doctors reported that there is no need to worry about such a diagnosis. Neymar arrived at Barcelona club not properly rested after the exhausting Confederations Cup tournament, during which, according to some sources, he lost up to seven kilograms. In addition, the player had his tonsils removed, after which he could not eat properly due to pain for some time.

Vitamins normalizing iron levels in the blood have been prescribed to Neymar, as well as adjustments to the player's diet.

"Very rarely do footballers return after summer holidays ready to play at one hundred percent. The body will need some time to recover," said Barcelona's sports director Andoni Zubizarreta.

"Everyone constantly talks a lot about that small problem with Neymar. It is always better to work hard and speak less," said Dani Alves before the match against Switzerland at the press conference.
