Next Sunday in England will start the UEFA Women's Football Championship, in which the 8 best teams from the continent will participate.

The qualifying matches of the tournament, in which 32 teams participated, divided into 7 groups, took place from March 2003 to October 2004. And from October to December, after the knockout matches, it became clear which 7 teams will participate in the final stage (the English national team automatically qualified for the final stage as the host of the championship).

The European champions from 1999-2001 were the German football players, who arrived in England after recovering from injuries. Due to a shoulder injury, the backup goalkeeper Tina Theune-Meyer will not be able to help the team, and it is also unclear whether one of the best German football players of all time, Birgit Prinz, last year recognized as the best female football player in the world, will play. B.Prinz is currently nursing a thigh injury.

All eight teams are divided into two groups of four teams each.

Group A Denmark England Finland Sweden

Group B France Germany Italy Norway

The championship will take place in five locations in northwest England, in Blackburn, Blackpool, Manchester, Preston, and Warrington. The final match will take place on June 19th at Blackburn's "Ewood Park" stadium.
