Xabi Alonso will have to wait for the start of the season. Madrid's "Real" announced that the team's midfielder broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot.
The Spanish national team footballer has been out of games since June, when he underwent groin surgery. It was thought that the Spaniard could return to the field in October.
However, the 31-year-old midfielder suffered a painful fracture in today's royal club training, which will force him to be out of football for another three months.
X. Alonso will have to miss matches for "Real" and the Spanish national team. The former "Liverpool" player is likely to return to the lineup in December.
Carlo Ancelotti will not have major problems in the midfield. The team recently gave a chance to young Casemiro, and also Florentino Perez attracted Asier Illarramendi, who plays in the same position, in the summer, but the latter is currently recovering from a "minor" injury.
