"Milan" goalkeeper Mathieu Flamini, who has spent the last few seasons at the club, is returning to London's "Arsenal", as reported by the British media.
The Frenchman has been training in the English capital with Arsene Wenger's permission for the past two weeks, but initially there were no negotiations about a possible contract.
Nevertheless, during training with the "Gunners", M.Flamini managed to convince A.Wenger and earn a contract with the club.
It is thought that Flamini will officially become an "Arsenal" player already tomorrow, as in order for him to help the team in Saturday's match against "Fulham", the necessary documents must be sorted out by Friday afternoon.
The Frenchman played for "Arsenal" from 2004, when he came as a free agent from "Marseille" team, until 2008. M.Flamini also joined the "Milan" team for free.
Flamini will be the second new player for the "Gunners" this summer. The team also added the young striker Yaya Sanogo for free. However, some sources write that "Auxerre" club was paid a few hundred thousand euros as compensation for this player.
