On Saturday, the second round of the English Premier League started in England.
At London's Craven Cottage stadium, there was a city derby between the hosts Fulham and the visitors from the northern part - Arsenal footballers.
Arsene Wenger's players arrived having lost their first match against Aston Villa, while Fulham defeated Sunderland at the start of the season.
From the very first minutes, Arsenal was determined to win and in the 14th minute, after Aaron Ramsey's attempt to shoot, the ball fell right at Olivier Giroud's feet, who easily scored past goalkeeper Stockdale.
After the missed goal, the hosts started to attack more, but carelessly played in defense and conceded the second goal: in the 41st minute during a counterattack, Lukas Podolski doubled the Gunners' lead.
In the second half, the picture changed little: Arsenal controlled the ball more, but Fulham needed a goal.
In the 68th minute, the hosts missed another costly counterattack, during which L. Podolski scored his second and the team's third goal.
In the 77th minute, Darren Bent managed to score a goal against Wojciech Szczesny after a shot from Dimitar Berbatov, softening the result.
However, the Gunners did not let the victory slip away and won their first three points of the season.
Liverpool's Everton club once again failed to secure a victory: at home, despite playing an open game, they drew 0-0 with West Brom.
Meanwhile, Alan Pardew's Newcastle team also played with a 0-0 result against West Ham's footballers.
In the evening round of matches, the Aston Villa and Liverpool team met in a good game.
In the first half, Liverpool dominated and showed their superiority with a great goal by Daniel Sturridge.
In the second half, the picture on the field changed a bit and Aston Villa took the initiative, but Brendan Rodgers' players defended solidly and secured their second consecutive victory.
