Tickets for the match between Vilnius City Football Association "Žalgiris" and Salzburg's "Red Bull" teams, which will take place on Thursday at the LFF Stadium, are quickly selling out.
Thousands of supporters of the capital's representative football team have decided not to wait until the last minute.
As soon as it became clear with whom the Žalgiris team will have to play on their home field in the fourth round of the Europa League qualifiers, lines of fans formed at the ticket counters.
With more than a day left until the match, there are less than 200 tickets left for sale. The stadium can accommodate about 5,300 people in total.
"Football in Lithuania is alive. We can all be happy about that. It's nice to see Lithuanians, especially residents of Vilnius, coming together to support the team and eagerly awaiting the match. It's very important for us to feel every spectator in the stadium.
"This is a match for honor, for dignity, for the fans. Thursday's game is very important. I believe the men will do everything to win," says Vilma Venslovaitienė, the acting director of VMFD "Žalgiris".
The most anticipated football event of the season at the LFF Stadium will start at 21:30.
