On Wednesday evening, all participants of the UEFA Champions League group stage were determined.

AC Milan managed to overcome the resistance of Dutch team PSV at home after a 1-1 draw away and advanced to the main stage of the tournament.

The team was led to victory by Kevin Prince Boateng, who scored two goals, while Mario Balotelli added one goal.

In a previous match, Zenit St. Petersburg faced the Portuguese team Pacos de Ferreira. The Russians proved their superiority in a high-scoring match. Danny contributed the most to the victory by scoring two goals, while Alexander Bukharov and Andrey Arshavin also found the back of the net.

Real Sociedad players created a solid advantage away from home and maintained it at their home ground by defeating Lyon. The hero of the match was Carlos Vela, who scored twice.

Czech team Viktoria Plzen finished the job they started at home and broke through the barrier of Slovenian team Maribor. The only goal of the match was scored by Stanislav Tecl in the 3rd minute.

In the final minutes of the match, Glasgow Celtic snatched a ticket to the Champions League by crushing Shakhter Karagandy at home with Gediminas Vicius at the forefront.

Although the Scots lost 0-2 away, they managed to play a great game at home and get their revenge.

The draw for the Champions League group stage will take place on Friday.
