On Thursday afternoon, London's Arsenal club officially announced the acquisition of free agent Mathieu Flamini.
The defender spent the last five seasons at AC Milan, and after leaving the Rossoneri last season, he became a free agent.
For the past few weeks, the Frenchman trained with the team led by Arsene Wenger, but initially no contract was offered to the player.
Before joining Milan, the experienced player represented Arsenal for four years. At the beginning of his career, M. Flamini wore the jersey of Marseille.
Interestingly, both to Milan and Arsenal, Flamini came twice for free.
The Frenchman became the second newcomer to the London team this summer. The team also acquired 20-year-old forward Yaya Sanogo as a free agent.
