Munich's "Bayern" - London's "Chelsea" Tournament: UEFA Super Cup Stadium: "Eden Arena", Prague Referee: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden) Date and time: 2013/08/30, 21:45

In Prague, at the "Eden" stadium, the footballers of Munich's "Bayern" and London's "Chelsea" will meet, with the latter fighting for this title last season as well, but the Madrid "Atletico" train ruthlessly crushed the "blues" barrier.

Munich's "Bayern" Last season, under Jupp Heynckes, the Champions League winners were unstoppable and triumphed in the final with a score of 2-1 against their biggest rivals, the footballers of Borussia Dortmund from Germany.

In the summer, the reins of the Bavarian team were taken over by former "Barcelona" coach Pep Guardiola, who still struggles with his new team. Apart from the coach, there were no major changes in the club, and "Bayern" was strengthened by Mario Gotze, Thiago Alcantara, and Jan Kirchhoff.

In the new German "Bundesliga" championship, Bayern's squad played four matches already. They won three in a row, but on Tuesday the reigning champions had to settle for a draw when they met "Freiburg".

Throughout the club's history, the Munich team participated in this tournament between the two teams three times and never managed to triumph, but today they will have a great opportunity to do so.

London's "Chelsea" The "blues" army started their European journey last season in the Champions League, but failed to advance from the group stage, so they continued their fight in the Europa League, where they also narrowly defeated Benfica and celebrated the highest spot.

The summer of 2013 was not easy for the London team and the management had work to do. First, Jose Mourinho returned to the team, and his squad was reinforced by Andre Schurrle, Marco van Ginkel, Mark Schwarzer, Willian, and two young players who were already loaned out.

Chelsea's situation in the English Premier League is similar to Bayern's, except the latter played one more match. Mourinho's team won two games this season, and on Monday they played a draw with Manchester United at "Old Trafford".

Chelsea participated in the UEFA Super Cup twice in total and triumphed once, when in 1998 they defeated royal Madrid's "Real" 1-0. As mentioned before, last season Chelsea had to admit defeat to "Atletico" in this tournament.
