The team from the champions of Portugal, Lisbon, acquired the Croatian forward Tomislav Šokota, who struggled to establish himself in the team of the Portuguese capital. The player signed a four-year contract with his new club. T. Šokota has not played for the main "Benfica" lineup since December of last year. Back then, the Croat played only for the second team of "Benfica". He joined the Lisbon team in the 2001/02 season, but since then he failed to achieve good physical form, and due to Achilles tendon injuries, Tomislav Šokota did not play for a long time. The most successful season for T. Šokota was in 2003/04. In 29 matches, the Croatian forward scored 11 goals, and his club won the Portuguese Cup. In this season, T. Šokota played only 14 matches and scored 4 goals. Šokota will become the second striker, joining the ranks of "Porto" in the summer. Earlier, the Portuguese club agreed to acquire the Argentine Lisandro Lopez. Such club acquisitions increase the likelihood that the Lithuanian E.
