The general director of the "Juventus" club, Giuseppe Marotta, is convinced that it is time to reform Italian football.
During an interview with journalists, the Italian touched on various topics, but mainly focused on the problems of the country's football.
"The established tax systems elsewhere are damaging Italian football. It is necessary to create harmony among them, otherwise there will be a huge gap. I hope that UEFA will keep its word," said G. Marotta.
"There is no doubt that it is necessary to reform Italian football starting with the crumbling stadiums. We need new laws regarding their construction. This is one of the reasons why we are falling behind other countries, whose clubs make a lot of money from stadiums," he added.
In August 2011, "Juventus" became the first and only Italian club to open the doors of its own stadium. Next Tuesday, the Italian national team, fighting for a place in the 2014 World Cup, will play against the Czech Republic at the club's arena.
"Modern, welcoming, and safe stadiums are part of the club's heritage. This is where all the conditions of a good stadium are met. I hope that the Italian team will secure a place in the World Cup in these matches. We are proud to be able to host the national team at the "Juventus" stadium," said the general director of the club.
Next weekend, football fans will be waiting for the Italian derby in the "Serie A" championship, where two main rivals, Milan's "Inter" and "Juventus," will clash.
"We will face a newly revived team, which is expecting a good season. I know Walter Mazzarri (head coach of "Inter") very well, who is a master of his craft and has managed to bring new winds to the club. This season, "Inter" will be a real contender in the fight for the Italian champions' titles and is one of the favorites," praised G. Marotta the future opponents.
