Last season, forward Ciprian Marica, who said goodbye to Schalke from Gelsenkirchen and became a free agent, is likely to join London's Arsenal next week.
When asked by journalists about the future of the Romanian striker, his agent replied that his client may end up in the English Premier League.
In the summer, Arsene Wenger tried to attract the forward to the team, but the coach failed and Arsenal only strengthened with midfielder Mesut Ozil.
"He is close to moving to Arsenal. We have to wait for next week when everything will be clear," said the agent of the 27-year-old forward.
C. Marica played for Schalke for two seasons. Previously, he has played for clubs like Stuttgart, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Dinamo Bucharest.
