Neymar: opponent provocations motivate me © EuroFootball.com

Brazilian national team and Barcelona club forward Neymar claims that rough opponents' challenges give him more motivation.

The hosts of the 2014 World Cup do not need to participate in qualifying matches, so the Selecao uses the so-called national team break to play friendly matches.

On Tuesday in the United States, Brazilians defeated the Portuguese national team with a score of 3:1.

Neymar, who played superbly, successfully assisted his teammates, scored the second goal of his team after a brilliant individual run and was recognized as the best player of the match.

After the game, Barcelona's newcomer Neymar shared his impressions.

According to the forward, he watched some videos of the match and noticed several episodes where Portuguese defenders deliberately tried to stop him with rough challenges, although the game didn't result in anything serious.

"Now I have a bit of pain, as I was hit hard on the legs a few times, but nothing serious happened, I managed to avoid more serious injuries. I saw a video where opponents tried to provoke me and I showed it to Thiago Silva. I try not to pay attention to such things. On the other hand, opponents' attempts to 'kick' my legs are not a bad thing, because it motivates me even more," Neymar said.
