After a long break, Pakruojo "Kruoja" finally won a victory in the A league, and one of the heroes of the match undoubtedly became the Latvian goalkeeper Maris Eltermanis, who later scored the winning goal. Speaking in Lithuanian after the match, Maris rejoiced in the victory, but - not in the game.
"Matches against "Tauras" this season were always tough. All of them, including this one, ended with a one-goal difference. That says it all," - the goalkeeper said after the match.
"It's good that we managed to win and everything ended this way. When we need to play as number one, all opponents become tough. Were these successful matches for me? Probably, but you always want to do better. This time it's a shame that we couldn't resist the penalty," - continued the "brother".
When asked about his own goal, Maris smiled: "I managed to score for the first time in the highest league. These are truly memorable matches. Before, I have scored while playing for the reserves, as well as in the first league of Latvia, where I have had to play on the field. However, of course, there weren't many of those goals to remember."
