Playing in the Champions League is very profitable. The 32 teams that qualified for this season's group stage starting on Tuesday will receive a payment of 8.9 million euros from UEFA.
In addition to this amount, all clubs can earn an extra 1 million euros for each victory and 500,000 euros for each draw.
The teams that reach the quarterfinals will receive an additional 3.5 million euros, the semifinalists will get 3.9 million euros, and the finalists will receive 4.9 million euros.
The participant in the Champions League final will receive a prize of 6.5 million euros, while the winner will get 10.5 million euros.
