On Tuesday evening in Lithuania, two matches of the 29th round of the "SMScredit.lt A League" were played.
In Klaipėda, the local team "Atlantas" met with the leaders, the footballers of Vilnius' "Žalgiris". The hosts unexpectedly won with a score of 3-1.
In the first half, two goals were scored by "Atlantas". The first goal was scored by Donatas Kazlauskas in the 37th minute, and the result was equalized by Gediminas Kruša just six minutes later.
In the 72nd minute, the hopes of "Žalgiris" to at least fight for a draw were revived by defender Luka Peričius, but at the end of the match, the players from Klaipėda sent another goal to the gates of the Lithuanian vice-champions and celebrated a secure victory.
In other matches, Gargždai's "Banga" also defeated Tauragė's "Tauras" with a minimal difference.
