The coach of "Juventus", Antonio Conte, clearly demonstrated that he is already fed up with the main problem - the inability to convert chances. On Tuesday in the Champions League debut, "Juventus" played 1:1 away with the team considered as B group outsider, "Kobenhavn".
"Bianconeri" dominated the entire match, but fell behind after Nicolai Jorgensen's shot in the 14th minute. "Juventus" managed to equalize only in the 54th minute through Fabio Quagliarella.
During the match, A.Conte shook his head several times - his players took 13 shots at the hosts' goal, but they couldn't beat Johan Wiland. In total, "Juventus" took 25 shots.
"I don't think that in the time I've been at Juventus, we have created so many chances to score in one match," said the football specialist. "In my career, I have learned that it is not enough to create 10 amazing opportunities for victory. After all, the ball must end up in the net. Yes, their goalkeeper was fantastic, but we helped him by finishing our attacks poorly."
44-year-old A.Conte faced criticism for looking down on the opponents and paying the price for it.
"I don't think we underestimated them. Last year we played on equal terms in Denmark," said the coach.
In group B, "Juventus" also competes against Madrid's "Real" and Istanbul's "Galatasaray". In Tuesday's match, the Spanish club won 6:1.
