San Sebastiano "Real Sociedad" received bad news - this season Esteban Granero, who returned to Spain on a rental basis, suffered an injury and will not be able to play for six months.
The defender, who belongs to London's "Queens Park Rangers" club and appeared in the UEFA Champions League match as a substitute, suffered a very painful knee injury.
The former Real Madrid player stepped onto the field in the 81st minute, when he replaced Ruben Pardo, and his represented team lost at home 2-0 to Donetsk's "Shakhtar" players.
QPR expressed concern for the defender and wrote on their social media account: "Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Esteban Granero."
In the prestigious Old Continent tournament group A, the Basque team will also compete with two other clubs - "Manchester United" and Leverkusen's "Bayer."
