On Wednesday, the new group stage matches of the UEFA Champions League season continue, with eight more matches played.
The favorites secured victories, but London's Chelsea and Dortmund's Borussia suffered somewhat unexpected defeats.
Last season's finalists Borussia Dortmund failed to hold off the strengthened Napoli team away, losing 2-1.
The winners' goals were scored by Gonzalo Higuain and Lorenzo Insigne, while the only goal in Napoli's net came when Camilo Zuniga scored an own goal.
It is worth mentioning that Germany's vice-champion goalkeeper Roman Weindenfeller was sent off the pitch during the added time of the first half.
Likewise, the tournament did not start triumphantly for London's Chelsea club, which lost to Basel by a narrow margin in front of their own fans.
The 'Blues' led in this match after Oscar's goal, but Mohammed Salah and Marco Streller's goals secured victory for the Swiss team.
Barcelona won a crushing victory, leaving no chances for Ajax in a 4-0 result.
Lionel Messi was unstoppable for the Catalans, scoring a hat-trick, with Gerard Pique adding another goal. Ajax had a chance to soften the result, but Kolbeinn Sigthorsson missed an 11-meter penalty shot.
Arsene Wenger's London Arsenal team also celebrated their first away victory, beating Marseille 2-1.
The winning goals were scored by Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey, while Jordan Ayew scored a consolation goal for the hosts at the end of the match.
Champions League victories at the start were also secured by Schalke, Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Porto clubs.
