M.Stankevičius: apparently, Cs.Laszlo was someone's marionette © EuroFootball.com

The worst thing is that the coach himself complained that the decisions were not made by him alone. This means that he was a man who had nothing between his legs. "Let's say, masculinity," - these words described Csaba Laszlo, who left the position of the coach of the Lithuanian national team, by the team's veteran Marius Stankevičius for the portal kauno.diena.lt.

Last week, the Hungarian was forced to say goodbye to Lithuania. With only two victories in sixteen official matches (against Liechtenstein, - ed.), the 49-year-old strategist was shown the door by the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF), which decided to conclude the European Championship qualification cycle with assistant coach Igor Pankratjev.

"If the coach had taken a position where he doesn't care about money, he would have resigned earlier. It's interesting what he based his decision on: money or was it convenient for someone to have exactly that person in such a position? This question not only disturbs us, football players, but also all the fans of the country's football," said M. Stankevičius.

Cs. Laszlo received a lot of criticism when he decided not to invite two veterans to the matches against Latvia and Liechtenstein - currently probably the best national team player Deividas Šemberas and veteran Tomas Danilevičius.

M. Stankevičius claims that such a decision might have been understandable if the coach did not constantly change his opinion.

"The worst thing is that he himself complained that it was not solely his decision. Apparently, he was someone's puppet. That's why it's shameful," the footballer said.
