Madrid's "Atletico" club defender Arda Turan has extended his contract with the Spanish capital team until July 2017.
The 26-year-old leader of the Turkish national team arrived in Spain in 2011 and in the same season helped the team win the UEFA Europa League, and in the 2012-2013 season - the Copa del Rey.
"I am happy to extend my contract with the club. In the past two seasons, I have felt like a part of the family in this team. My teammates are excellent footballers and together we can achieve a lot," said the defender.
A.Turan, who joined "Atletico" a couple of years ago for 13 million euros, has scored 12 goals and provided 24 assists in 93 matches wearing the Madrid team's jersey.
