Neymar Still Unleashed: More goals to come © EuroFootball.com

"Barcelona" summer signing Neymar reassures fans after the not very successful first Champions League match against Ajax that there will be more goals.

The 21-year-old footballer stated that Barcelona fans will see his best performance when he fully adapts to life in Europe.

Brazil made his Champions League debut with his new club in a 4-0 victory over Ajax. In the first tournament match, Lionel Messi stole the show, scoring three goals and leading the team to a convincing victory.

Gerardo Martino did not allow Neymar to play all 90 minutes – he was substituted by Pedro Rodríguez in the 72nd minute. Despite not playing his best game, the team's fans applauded the forward as he left the field. The player, valued at 57 million euros, has so far scored only one goal for the team.

"I missed some opportunities to score, but there will be more goals. I value my pass to Gerard Pique, after which he scored a goal, and the teamwork. I can still contribute a lot to Barcelona's game. I am happy that the team started the Champions League with a win, it is very important.

I am very happy that I can play on the same field with a football genius like Lionel Messi."
