After four matches without a victory and a surprising loss in the Champions League to Basel, London's Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho faced criticism. However, the coach dismissed the criticism on Friday and reassured that he is working to change his team's game.

So far, Chelsea's results do not meet the expectations that arose when the club announced Mourinho's return to the Stamford Bridge fortress.

"I don't like the kind of game Chelsea has shown in recent years. The club doesn't like it either. We want to change that. We want to play in a different style, because we have capable players for that," said Mourinho. "Crisis? What crisis? In Syria? I don't see a crisis in the club. There are just two bad results."

The unexpected loss to Basel in the Champions League is just the latest poor result. Prior to that, Chelsea had to acknowledge Everton's superiority in the English championship, and even earlier lost in the UEFA Super Cup final to Bayern Munich after a penalty shootout. Fans are also dissatisfied with a draw against Manchester United.

Chelsea fans are worried because the coach's history at the club was more successful in the past. Between 2004-2007, Mourinho won five trophies. Among them were two Premier League titles and the Football Association (FA) Cup.

"The past is history. I always said that I feel like I'm here for the first time. I don't want anyone to value me for past deeds. Because that doesn't mean anything now," he said.
