London's "Tottenham" newcomer Christian Eriksen admitted that he could have ended up at "Manchester City" last summer, but he was afraid of being a substitute player there.
In the summer of 2013, Amsterdam's "Ajax" sold the midfielder to the London team for 13 million euros, where C. Eriksen immediately became a key player.
The 21-year-old footballer has long been linked with famous European clubs, including not only "Man City" but also "Manchester United."
"Last summer, 'Manchester City' wanted to sign a contract with me, but I didn't hurry to accept this offer.
"I thought for a long time, but I realized that I could only be a substitute in this team," added the Danish midfielder.
In the new season, C. Eriksen played two matches and scored one goal.
