Barcelona's "Espanyol" club won their third victory at home by beating Bilbao's "Athletic" team 3:2 (1:1), their second defeat.
Victor Sanchez led the hosts 26 minutes into the game, but Oscar de Marcos equalized just before the end of the first half (43rd minute).
V. Sanchez put Barcelona ahead for the second time in the 49th minute, and Sergio Garcia secured the victory with a goal in the 65th minute. Ibai Gomez scored a second goal for the "Athletic" team right at the end of the match.
"Espanyol" team did not let a 62% passing accuracy in the match affect their victory, despite losing possession of the ball 40:60.
After this match, "Espanyol" with three wins and two draws sits in third place with 11 points, behind "Villarreal". Real Madrid is in third place with 13 points, while "Barcelona" and "Atletico" are at the top of the table with 15 points each.
