After Tuesday evening's German Cup match, Borussia Dortmund's forward from Poland, Robert Lewandowski, admitted to journalists that he will be moving to Bayern Munich this summer.
The 25-year-old forward wanted to leave Borussia this summer already, but the Dortmund team leaders refused to sell the Pole and he was forced to play for the team until the end of his contract.
When asked by journalists if he will indeed sign a contract with Pep Guardiola's team this winter, Borussia's forward replied: "Yes, I will be able to sign a contract with the new team in January, so that's what I will do."
Robert Lewandowski, who has been playing for Borussia since 2010, will be able to change teams as a free agent when his contract expires next summer. Lewandowski moved from Lech Poznań to Borussia for 4.5 million euros in 2010 and scored 80 goals in 149 matches for the German club.
At the end of last season, Mario Götze moved from Borussia to Bayern, although his contract with the team had not yet expired, so Bayern had to shake their wallet well – the footballer cost them 37 million euros.
