On Wednesday evening in Vilnius, one of the postponed matches of the 24th round of the Lithuanian "SMScredit.lt A League" took place, where two country giants met.

At the LFF stadium, Vilnius "Žalgiris" and Panevėžys "Ekranas" fought for 3 points. In the battle for the championship title, the Vilnius team achieved an easy victory with a score of 3-0.

The first half was dominated by a balanced game. Both teams created similar chances and controlled the ball almost equally.

In the first 30 minutes, we did not see any particularly threatening attacks on the goalkeepers, although a few players tried long shots to beat the goalkeepers, but failed to score.

The first dangerous opportunity was created near Armantas Vitkauskas' goal, when Giedrius Tomkevičius headed the ball after a lifted ball, but A.Vitkauskas played excellently in that episode.

Just a few minutes later, the "Žalgiris" players responded in kind and even sent the ball into the goal. After a great pass from Mantas Kuklys, Serge Nyuiadzi scored his first goal in this match.

The Vilnius team was not satisfied with this result in the first half, and in the 43rd minute after a lifted corner, Frenchman S. Nyuiadzi scored his second goal in this match with a header.

In the second half, Marek Zubo's students continued to demonstrate their superiority after scoring goals and repeatedly threatened Tadas Kauneckas.

At the beginning of the half, the young winger had a great opportunity to score a hat-trick, but his shot hit the side post.

In the 67th minute, Kamil Bilinskis put the final nail in the coffin, burying all of "Ekranas" hopes of getting at least a point in this match.

Vilnius gained a 10-point lead over "Ekranas" and still have one more game in hand. Meanwhile, Lithuanian vice-champions Klaipėda "Atlantas" are 8 points behind in second place and are successfully marching towards the title.
