On Wednesday in Germany, the second round of the national cup ("DFB-Pokal") matches took place.
Champions Bayern Munich footballers faced Hannover at the Allianz Arena. Guardiola's proteges secured a ticket to the next stage with a 4-1 victory.
Three goals were scored in the first half. The first in this match was scored by Thomas Muller, and ten minutes later Claudio Pizarro doubled the score.
At the end of the half, Didier Ya Konan gave hope to Hannover to fight for victory, but in the second half Thomas Muller scored another goal and Franck Ribery also found the net.
In other matches, victories were celebrated by Eintracht, Ingolstadt, Kaiserslautern, Saarbrucken, Schalke, Freiburg, and Union footballers.
