After the decisive important match against the league leaders "Ekranas" from Panevėžys, coach Marekas Zubas was pleased with the successful performance of the team.
However, the players from the capital city team are not planning to rest – the championship is not over yet.
"These were important matches, but now they are just history. Today we celebrate, and already tomorrow we prepare for the next matches," M. Zubas says, "we will have another encounter with 'Ekranas'. Let's hope it will be just a formality and we will secure the champions title earlier," the coach hopes.
According to M. Zubas, the upcoming matches will not be easy, so the players will fight until the last whistle of the referee: "We cannot relax. We must play all the remaining matches with dedication. We will go on the field to fight not only for victory, but also for the spectators who support us. It's important that they enjoy watching us."
The coach doesn't hide the fact that it wasn't easy for the team to return to the Lithuanian championship after the Europa League, but that is already in the past.
"Lately, we have experienced a rather difficult period. It's very hard to be constantly in top form – we are a living organism. The most important question in such a situation is how long it lasts. These matches showed that we have returned to our game," says M. Zubas.
