Lost in the starting lineup of "Chelsea", the Spaniard Juan Mata is ready to change his playing style to fit in with the team.
Last season, previously one of the team's leaders, this year the midfielder does not fit in with coach Jose Mourinho's style.
Mata says he is ready to adapt to the team and play where the coach will direct him.
"I will play where Mourinho demands. I am still young and can improve. I want to do what I have been doing for the past two seasons," the midfielder said.
"My father always said - if you are left-footed, improve your right. I also need to improve my defensive skills, like all other footballers," Mata assured.
"It is very difficult to be a perfect footballer, but I have been striving to improve throughout my career. I believe Jose can help me. Every coach's job is to exploit the players' best qualities," the midfielder continued.
"Last season was the best of my career, but I could have played even better. Mourinho is a strategist who analyzes everything, not just his own team."
"Jose likes intensity and pressure. There are 8 months left until the World Cup, and I believe in myself more than ever," the footballer concluded.
