Dani Alves remembers well the lesson of last season's match against Glasgow's Celtic team. Back then, at the "Parkhead" stadium, his Barcelona team lost to the Scots 1:2.
This Champions League season, the paths of Celtic and Barcelona crossed once again. However, D. Alves assures that the surprising scenario that happened on Tuesday will not repeat itself.
"Back then we lost, but the result wasn't fair," the 30-year-old defender told "Daily Record". "It happened because of various individual mistakes, not because Celtic played better. They were lucky. It was a fluke that won't happen again. If they play the same way again, they will need a lot of luck to get something out of it."
In the match against Celtic, Barcelona will have to do without Lionel Messi, but D. Alves doesn't worry too much about it and points to Neymar.
"Celtic knows the strength of our team, but Neymar is a new challenge they haven't faced yet," said D. Alves.
